I don't come to campus. How do I use the library?

Most of the Library’s materials and services are available in a digital or online format. The library's databases can be accessed with your StormTrac username and password, and you can always get help from a librarian using the 24-hour chat service located at the top of this webpage. If you don't come to campus, our physical collection is still accessible to you. You can get print materials delivered to your location for free. Even if the material is one that we borrow from another library through interlibrary loan, we'll ship the item to your residence and provide you the means to return it at no charge. If you do not come to campus and have a library need, please contact the library via phone at (336) 447-2727 or email at library@davidsondavie.edu for help.

What if the library doesn't have the book, video, or article that I need?

If you don't find what you're looking for, you have options. If you only need the material temporarily, try submitting an interlibrary loan request. Interlibary loan is a service where our library borrows materials owned by other libraries. Davidson-Davie Community College students, faculty, and staff may borrow materials through interlibrary loan at no charge. Complete the Interlibrary Loan form to make a request.

If you anticipate needing regular access to the material, complete the Suggest a Purchase form, and the library may be able to purchase it.
