What does it mean to be a member of the library?

As a member, you have full access to a wealth of resources! Enjoy our 24/7 digital library, featuring books, audiobooks, scholarly periodicals, career tools, and more—no library card needed! Davidson-Davie students and employees can explore the digital library by visiting our A-Z Databases webpage. Members from our community can explore the digital library by visiting our Digital Library for Community Members webpage. Once your member account is created, you'll receive a Welcome email with details on how to access the digital library.

For those who wish to borrow physical books and DVDs, you will need a library card. For Davidson-Davie Community College students and employees, your ConnectCard serves as your library card. For members from our community, library cards are free and may be picked at any of our libraries after you receive your Welcome email. Community members should bring a form of photo identification in order to pick up your library card. Member accounts expire after two years and may be renewed for an additional two years by contacting the library.

What if I don't return my item on time?

Every item returned late potentially keeps someone from enjoying it. For members with overdue items, borrowing privileges are suspended until the items are returned. In the event that a member's privileges are suspended, they may continue to use the digital library.
